*SUMMARY*
1) Key update procedures
2) AT&T Purchase Negotiations discussion
3) ELM Resources proposal
=================
1) *Key Update Procedures*
Discussion tabled until guidelines for prudent data handling could be
obtained. Karen Haney from NCHELP and Scott Fullerton are lining up
resources to obtain this.
2) *AT&T Purchase Negotiations discussion*
Questions raised on the current status of various tasks related to the
purchase process.
-Letter of Intent: Members requested the draft be placed on the EE
archive for review. They suggested returned letters be consolidated
and a letter of intent representing the aggregate estimate be
submitted to AT&T.
-Announcement: The subcommittee suggested a preliminary announcement
be sent to CommonLine members to encourage them to begin estimating
the number of licenses needed.
-AT&T License agreement and Maintenance agreement. This is being
reviewed by NCHELP. A copy will also be sent to legal counsel at
PHEAA and put on the EE archive for review.
3) *ELM Resources proposal*
Jon Kroehler gave the Electronic Exchange Subcommittee the task of
reviewing from a technical perspective an ELM resources proposal to
handle CommonLine file transmissions. The Subcommittee should be
prepared to deliver its results at the September CommonLine meeting.
The proposal will be made available within the next few days. The
Subcommittee will take this up at the 8/27 meeting.
