=================
1)	*SUMMARY OF THE COMMONLINE MEETING*
At the Alexandria CommonLine meeting, Scott presented a summary of events
leading to our current search for a replacement encryption product, listed the
requirements and desirables features, and named the two major contenders, AT&T
and RSA DSI. Following the presentation, the suggestion was made to use the
example of The University of Austin, which serves as a hub to route
transcripts.

Scott will research this model and report back to the subcommittee.

2) *PURCHASE NEGOTIATIONS /NEW PRODUCTS TO CONSIDER*
- Entrust (Dawn Harris, Scott Fullerton)
Greg Wheaton of Entrust sent a evaluation release form to Great Lakes. Scott
left several messages with Greg that this form would not authorize the rest of
the evaluation team to use the software. There was no response from Greg. We
should defer any further efforts with Entrust until after other options have
been explored.
- Briggs Software: Puffer
An interesting product using the blowfish algorithm. Brian Wilson
reviewed and suggested we reject, because their was not sufficient market share
and no guarantee of a stable future given the small size and limited resources
of the company.

3)	*EVALUATION STATUS (Evaluation Team)*
Nothing to report. Brian and/or Tim will ensure AT&T Secret Agent and
documentation are made available to the evaluation team.
