PGP MIME and RFC 2015

I found this in PGP's FAQ on version 5.5. I believe that it
deals with the RFC 2015 question that I submitted a couple of
days ago.

If I read the following right, then I believe that we should
NOT follow RFC 2015, since they are stating that it may not
be usable by previous versions of PGP. I'm not sure why they
state that, but ...

The quote from
http://www.pgp.com/service/export/faq/55faq.cgi:
--------
3.1: What is PGP/MIME, and when should I use it?

PGP/MIME is an IETF proposed standard that allows users of
PGP to automatically encrypt and sign their attachments when
sending e-mail, and presents users with a more convenient
user interface. When receiving a PGP/MIME message, you will
notice that the message body is replaced by an icon that
indicates whether the message was encrypted, signed, or both.
Double-clicking on this icon will decrypt and/or verify the
message. NOTE: you should only use PGP/MIME for conversing
with users of PGP Version 5.0 or later. Users of previous
versions of PGP may have trouble decrypting or verifying a
PGP/MIME message.
